Aaron Whitten, Recipient Runner Up

AARON WHITTEN is from Georgia. He loved hanging out with friends and playing sports when he was growing up. These are still things he loves to do! He persevered and worked hard to come back to soccer after an ACL injury. He has a great energy, team-driven attitude and positivity. He has excelled on the soccer field collecting All-American and AAC Offensive Player of the Year recognitions, among others. He is a humble player and leads by example. Aaron has a heart for serving others and is the first to volunteer when there is an opportunity.


Aaron is a Sports Studies major with a minor in business. He is interested in pursuing coaching avenues as well as physical training outlets to serve others.


Announced in April, Aaron was selected as Offensive Player of the Year in the Appalachian Athletic Conference. Click here to read about that award.

His favorite Disney character is Buzz Lightyear.

A guiding/comforting Bible verse is Matthew 17:20.

His favorite worship song is “Amazing Grace.”

His favorite childhood activities are playing sports and freeze tag.

Characteristics Aaron shares with Kyle: These young men were both humble leaders who lead by example. Both players received intercollegiate soccer All American recognition. They also shared a team-driven attitude on and off the field. Aaron and Kyle share a love of serving and learning from those they serve with.
